Abstract
Patients with rheumatoid arthritis belonging to blood group 0 have deficient activity of anti‐A and anti‐B isohemagglutinins in chromatographic fractions containing γss, γ1A and γ1M globulins. Asymptomatic close relatives of these patients, if they too belong to blood group 0 have deficient isohemagglutinin activity only in an intermediate fraction containing y1A and yss globulins. Evidence is presented which suggests that the latter deficiency is attributable to the γ1A globulin, and is not the result of complexing with rheumatoid factor. Keywords
