Optical absorption of amorphous carbon doped with copper

Abstract
The optical constants of thin films of amorphous hydrogenated carbon doped with copper (0–24%%) have been determined by analysing optical absorption spectra within the spectral region 0·6–5·0 eV. The results evidence the existence of two types of copper-based cluster: spherical drops and scales or other lower dimensional formations. The size and concentration of the clusters are discussed.
