Abstract
Photoreactivation is the enzyme-mediated, light-dependent repair of DNA damaged by ultraviolet light. The photoreactivating enzyme and its cellular effect—biological photoreactivation—are found in almost all organisms from bacteria to man, and may be important in protecting human skin against ultraviolet damage. Keywords
