Abstract
Long-term amputees frequently have problems which curtail their activities and impoverish their lives. These difficulties are seldom brought to the attention of those involved in the rehabilitation process. Problems include phantom pain, psychological distress and disability. This study examines the impact of these factors on employment and use of services. Keywords
