Abstract
Ion oscillations in a high-temperature electron-ion plasma with high-frequency turbulent fluctuations are investigated by generalizing the quasi-linear theory to a spatially inhomogeneous system. It is found that the feedback effect of the high-frequency fluctuation on the low-frequency oscillation in the system gives rise to a parametric growth of the ion acoustic mode even if the system has a stable velocity distribution with respect to the ion acoustic mode.
