Abstract
A model is investigated that includes the effects of rescattering on above-threshold ionization in the simplest possible situation. A delta function source injects electrons in the lowest possible continuum state. The electrons propagate from there on in the presence of the laser field, rescatter off a delta function potential and propagate in the field again. Spectra and angular distributions for the electrons are calculated and compared with recent experimental data. Keywords
