Abstract
Patients with pulmonary hydatid cysts have been noted to have a lower incidence of positive serologic tests than patients with hepatic cysts. Two patients with hydatid cysts of the lung and negative serologies in whom diagnoses were made by demonstration of scoleces in sputum samples prepared for cytologic study are discussed.
