Abstract
Laser sparks have been used to ignite and extinguish a methane/air diffusion flame. Simple shock models of strong explosions and convective transport appear capable of accounting for the probabilities of ignition and extinction as a function of the position of the spark. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
