Abstract
This first asymmetric synthesis of enantiopure desacetylumuravumbolide and umuravumbolide via asymmetric reduction, allylboration, and ring-closing metathesis confirms their revised structures and configurations. A convenient procedure to upgrade the enantiopurity of α,β-acetylenic alcohols is also described. Keywords
