Abstract
Advanced composite materials are significantly different from conven tional aircraft materials. These differences between the two are such that all facets of airplane design are significantly affected when use of advanced composite materials is considered. Examples of the impact of composite application to a lightweight fighter design, with regard to configuration and structural integrity, are given in this paper. Keywords
