Abstract
In a previous paper it was shown that most of the dark flutings which are characteristic of the spectra of Antarian or third type stars correspond with flutings which appear in spectra obtained from oxide and chloride of titanium, but it was then uncertain whether the flutings originated in the vapour of the oxide or in that of the metal itself. The purpose of the present communication is to give an account of the observations which have led to the conclusion that the flutings in question are produced by a compound of titanium with oxygen, and to give a revision of the table of wave-lengths based upon photographs taken with increased dispersion. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
