Abstract
Reactogenicity testing was performed accompanying vaccination with experimental German hepatitis B vaccine, Individuals (509), 343 healthy adults and 166 hemodialysis patients, were vaccinated with 3 doses of vaccine. The evaluation of questionnaires indicated that local and systemic adverse reactions were of low intensity and short duration. The rates of reactions were highest following the 1st and lowest after the 3rd vaccination. The vaccine did not induce immunopathological alterations. The vaccine was noninfectious and thus not the cause of hepatitis B infections or of other viral or bacterial infections. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
