Abstract
Neither Dilantin nor procarine amide were effective in preventing spontaneous ventricular fibrillation at low body temperatures. Dacorene alone of the drugs tested reduced the incidence of ventricular fibrillation significantly, by raising the threshold of the ventricle when Dacorene is given in small divided doses totalling 8-15 mg/kg. Large single injections lower the ventricular threshold and may induce fibrillation. Keywords
