Abstract
In this epidemic of acute glomerulonephritis in Hawaii 71 per cent of the children had a preceding streptococcal infection. While this precursor was pharyngitis in the majority, impetigo seemed an equally important source. Early antibiotic administration attenuated ASO titers and seemed to be beneficial. Many of the clinical findings resembled those of pre viously reported glomerulonephritis epidemics associated with impetigo. Keywords
