Observational Constraints on Blue Primordial Spectra

Abstract
Recently, there has been growing interest in primordial ''blue'' (n{gt 1)ud perturbation spectra, motivated both by a composite set of observationalud data on large scales and from the point of view of theoretical modelud building. After reviewing the theoretical (inflationary) motivations forud these blue spectra, we consider various observational constraints,ud within both cold dark matter and mixed dark matter scenarios. Inud particular, using linear theory, we discuss large-scale bulk flows andud the X-ray cluster abundance. We also perform various N-body simulationsud of these models to study the clustering properties of the matterud distribution and the peculiar velocity field.ud
