The G- and C-Bands in Relation to Robertsonian Polymorphism in the Malayan House Shrew,Suncus Murinus(Mammalia, Insectivora)

Abstract
The G-bands establish that 4 pairs of acrocentric autosomes are ivolved in the Robertsonian translocations in Suncus murinus. C.-banding of mitotic metaphase reveals that constitutive heterochromatin is centromeric in all the autosomes. In the sex-chromosomes, both centromeric and interstitial C-bands are observed.
