Abstract
Hypnotist and subject often agree about the nature of hypnosis, yet the patient may find fearful the very hypnotic experience many hypnotherapists promote. A transcript of successful hypnotherapy for headache is presented, along with commentary regarding the development of mutually satisfying expectations of hypnosis during hypnotherapy through the precise definition of the hypnotic state. Keywords
