Abstract
Sediments from Carlisle’s Hoek, at an altitude of 2 225 m, exposed within a small debris cone, are described. They show a series of debris flow deposits characterised by angular to subangular clasts with variations in clast content and grading. A sedimentological study of the deposits leads to the conclusion that they accrued under Quaternary periglacial conditions. Keywords
