Abstract

Nine independent measurements have been performed on hyperons produced in

K^{-}

capture, and a set of precise hyperon mass measurements has been obtained. The following mass values are reported (in MeV):

m_{Σ^{+}} = 1189.64 \pm 0.11

,

m_{Σ^{0}} = 1192.41 \pm 0.14

,

m_{Σ^{-}} = 1197.43 \pm 0.11

,

m_{Λ^{0}} = 1115.61 \pm 0.07

;

m_{Σ^{0}} - m_{Λ^{0}} = 76.61 \pm 0.28

,

m_{Σ^{-}} - m_{Σ^{+}} = 7.89 \pm 0.12

,

m_{Σ^{-}} - m_{Σ^{0}} = 4.99 \pm 0.12
