Distribution of Radioactive Silver Colloids in Tissues of Rodents Following Injection by Various Routes.

Abstract
Intramusc. injn. of dextrin-protected radio-Ag colloids results in a high concn. of the injd. material at the site of injn. Intraven. injn. of dextrin-Ag colloids in rats and intraperit. injn. of gelatin-Ag colloids in mice result in the deposition of Ag in the highest concn. in the reticulo-endothelial system. Considerable amts. of Ag are eliminated through the gastrointestinal tract. Methods of preparing tissues of small bulk for detn. of radioactivity are discussed.
