Treatment of neurosyphilis with ceftriaxone

Abstract
The first choice treatment for late syphilis is penicillin. Other than doxycycline, which penetrates the CNS, there are few alternatives for the treatment of neurosyphilis. We report a case of successful treatment of symptomatic neurosyphilis with parenteral ceftriaxone.Keywords
