Abstract
The computation of scattering kernels for a class of models of gas-surface interactions is reduced to a boundary-value problem. On this basis a new proof of the reciprocity law is given and several kernels are computed from physical models of the wall. In particular it is shown that a kernel which was previously deduced by formal arguments corresponds to a well-defined model of the wall. Keywords
