Diver-Operated Electrofishing Device

Abstract
The electrodes of a backpack electrofisher were modified into a watertight probe that could be operated by a diver to stun individual fish. Electrode plates positioned 15 cm apart at the distal end of the probe localized the electrical field. Insulated electrical cables connected the probe to the floating control box and power source. The device enabled a diver to safely capture individual freshwater fish.
