Abstract
Phantom and stump pain were reduced or abolished by contralateral local anesthesia at hyperalgesic points on the opposite side in 4 patients with a pain resistant to other therapies. The beneficial effects of contralateral local anesthesia for this type of pain seem to be long-term. The diagnostic and therapeutic techniques are described. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
