Abstract
The total gamut of satellite communications and its implications are key factors to the discussion of the new information order —if that be ever possible. The debate will eventually hinge on who will have the control over the electronic technology and who will use them and what laws be made and abided by globally in order to ensure that those who have the technology will not bombard those who have not with their values and philosophy. The questions are valid and the debate can be unending. John L. Mitchell adopts a critical view of the prevailing situation and asks questions whose answers will be vital for the societies of the Third World.
