Abstract
In field experiments with new insecticides for control of the sugarcane borer Diatraea saccharalis (F.), Conducted in Louisiana during 1960, granular formulations of EPN and Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner showed sufficient promise to justify further work Bayer 29493 ( O, O -dimethyl O -[4-(methylthio)- m -tolyl] phosphorothioate), Nematocide 18133 ( O, O -diethyl O -2-pyrazinyl phosphorothioate), phorate, and dimethoate showed little or no promise as insecticides for borer control.
