Acute Systeinic and Coronary Hemodynamic Effects of Trimethidinium Methosulfate.

Abstract
Systemic and coronary hemo-dynamic observations made before and after intravenous administration of trimethidinium methosulfate in dogs, revealed that significant decreases occurred in systemic and pulmonary arterial and right atrial pressures, stroke volume, left and right ventricular work, and total pulmonary resistance. Significant increases were observed in heart rate, minute volume of respiration and arterial-coronary sinus oxygen difference. These hemodynamic effects are basically similar to those of other ganglionic blocking agents.
