Abstract
The urines of 8 rabbits subjected to water diuresis for 48 hrs. contained significantly greater quantities of 17-ketosteroids than control urines from the same animals. Ingestion of 180 mg. of KC1/100 g. body wt. as a 1% aqueous soln. over a 48-hr. period did not consistently cause a further increase in 17-ketosteroid excretion. A significant positive correlation between urine volume and 17-ketosteroid excretion was found. Keywords
