Abstract
Osteosclerosis of the terminal phalanges may be either localized or diffuse. A localized area of spongiosclerosis is frequently observed in the collagen diseases. Localized sclerosis, however, is not specific as it is seen in other entities, although somewhat less frequently. The diffuse form shows endosteal thickening along with sclerosis of the terminal spongiosa. The presence of diffuse sclerosis makes mandatory the exclusion of a collagen disease. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
