Abstract
Through the introduction of two complex stereographic variables it is shown that the Schrodinger equation for the bound states of hydrogen reduced to the wave equation for two coupled two-dimensional harmonic oscillators. The wavefunctions obtained by this means are the same as those which arise using parabolic coordinates. Keywords
