Abstract
Naturally occumng hybridization between carp and goldfish was investigated. These hybrids were from Victoria and are probably derived from the Boolara strain carp; hybrids of Boolara strain carp and goldfish have not previously been described. A description using meristic and morphometric characters allowed identification of hybrids in the field. The characters of the hybrids were intermediate, but generally showed more carp-like features. Keywords
