Abstract
Norepinephrine induced nodal and ventricular rhythms consisting of premature systoles, flutter, tachycardia and fibrillation in cats under pentobarbital anesthesia treated with harman methosulfate. Both the duration of ventricular arrhythmias and the incidence of fibrillation were greater following norepinephrine than after epinephrine. Nor-epinephrine was also more potent in eliciting automaticity of isolated papillary muscle. In contrast, acceleration of the perfused heart was greater after epinephrine.
