Cerebro-Hepato-Renal Syndrome of Zellweger

Abstract
Two patients with the cerebro-hepato-renal syndrome of Zellweger have previously unreported findings of anomalies of thymus and pancreatic islet cell hyperplasia, associated in one patient with profound hypoglycemia and seizures. Data and discussion are provided that argue against the previous hypothesis that iron overload plays an important role in the pathogenesis of this syndrome.
