Abstract
Peripheral nerve sheath tumours from 66 cattle were classified as schwannomas and neurofibromas. Bovine neurofibromatous tissue probably represents a dysplasia whilst bovine schwannomas are true neoplastic growths. Bovine schwannomas probably develop from neurofibromatous nerve and the two entities may represent parts of a single pathological condition. Keywords
