Abstract
A new observation of fenestrae with diaphragms in the endothelial wall of regenerating skeletal muscle capillaries is described in seven‐day‐old wounds of the cremaster muscle of adult male guinea pigs. The fenestrations were 44 nm in diameter and contained diaphragms with a central dense structure. These findings suggest an additional route for physiological exchange mechanisms in wound capillaries. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
