Abstract
The geographical distribution of Coleophora spissicornis Haw. and Coleophora alcyonipennella? Kollar as pests of clover is given. Attempts to control the pests in New Zealand are discussed and the difficulties explained. Observations on the life cycles of C. spissicornis and C. alcyonipennelia? are made and the latter species is found to have four instars. The genitalia of the adults of C. spissicornis and C. alcyonipennella? are figured and a means of distinguishing between the final ins tar larvae of the moths is given.
