Abstract
Importance sampling has been used to reduce simulation run-time. It is known that the effects of importance sampling can be reduced by system memory (e.g., systems employing a Viterbi decoder). Modifications to conventional importance sampling which give improvements for simulated Viterbi decoding are presented. Keywords
