Tracheobronchiomegaly1,2

Abstract
Five cases of tracheobronchiomegaly have been reported. Two of the cases occurred in the aame family, and the available evidence suggests that the condition may be inherited as an autosomal recessive. The cases presented and the accompanying physiologic data illustrate the wide spectrum of pulmonary disability that is found in this syndrome. Although the condition is probably not primarily caused by infection, the severity of complicating bronchopulmonary suppuration largely determines the degree of pulmonary disability.
