Abstract
The paper begins with a brief history of Derwent Publications Ltd. The major Derwent services are then described, including World Patents Index, World Patents Abstracts, Central Patents Index, Electrical Patents Index and the online databases. Some new Derwent services, such as the PAM microfiche and USPTO files are also described. Derwent has aloways been interested in new technology, and some speculations about the possible employment of optical discs are offered.Keywords
