Abstract
This paper focuses on the relationship between the social environment and the older individual. By utilizing the Social Breakdown Syndrome [1, 2] as a basis for examining this relationship, the author has proposed a cycle of events, the Geriatric Sexuality Breakdown Syndrome, in which an older individual is initially predisposed to diminished sexual activity to the end point of self-identification as non-sexual. Suggestions for interrupting this breakdown syndrome are given. Keywords
