Theoretical description of pulsed laser-target interaction in an air environment

Abstract
A comprehensive treatment of pulsed laser --target interaction in an air environment is described. Includcd in the treatment is target heating and vaporization, nonequilibrium effects and twodimensional hydrodynamics, radiative transfer, and thermal conduction. A description of damage effects arising from LSD waves is also given. (auth)
