Abstract
Clinical isolates of C. albicans were grown in defined media with various carbon sources then examined by scanning electron microscopy in an attempt to note changes in cell surface features. The mode of budding, bud scar morphology, surface topography, and intercellular matrix varied according to the carbon source. Des souches de C. albicans isolées de cas cliniques sont cultivées sur milieux définis contenant des sources de carbone diverses; puis elles sont examinées en microscopie à balayage afin d'observer les variations éventuelles des caractéristiques de la surface cellulaire. Le mode de bourgeonnement, la morphologie de la cicatrice du bourgeon, la topographie de la surface et la matrice intercellulaire varient selon la source de carbone.Keywords
