Abstract
Administration of prothrombin complex preparations to patients resulted in intravascular coagulation, thrombosis of large blood vessels and hepatitis. Until preparations of the prothrombin complex can be rendered free of activated clotting factors, their use should be restricted to situations in which the alternative is permanent maiming or death. Keywords
