Abstract
This review focuses upon studies of psychological aspects of infertility, as well as on some of the issues and implications which arise from the research. It appears that the major difficulty facing patients during infertility treatment is anxiety, while couples whose treatment was unsuccessful are instead at risk for depression. The long-term consequences for families created as a result of assisted conception are also considered. Keywords
