Abstract
The formation of mixed disulfide in the reaction of thioglycollic acid with pure cystine and also with cystine residues in wool has been investigated quantitatively. The set obtained by wool treated with thioglycollic acid under various conditions has been compared with the amounts of mixed disulfide formed under these conditions and conclusions derived. Keywords
