Abstract
The auxin conc. in horizontal stems of lazy and normal corn was detd. by extraction with ether. In the stems of the normal corn plants more auxin was found in the lower half than in the upper. In the lazy stems, somewhat more auxin was found in the upper half than in the lower. This provides an explanation of the prostrate habit of growth of the lazy plants. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
