Abstract
The modified WKB method applied to the bound‐state problem as given by the author is extended to include several high‐order terms. It is then applied to the single‐electron‐atom case. Here we take the three‐dimensional harmonic‐oscillator problem as the solved part and the single‐electron‐atom problem as the part to be solved. It is shown that the successive terms in this modified WKB approximation consist of the series expansion which gives the correct eigenvalue. Keywords
