Abstract
The spin correlation parameter for elastic scattering has been measured at 796 MeV from 30° to 90° c.m. The typical relative uncertainties of ±0.01 are almost an order of magnitude better than those of previous data near this energy. The absolute normalization uncertainty is ±2%. Data are consistent with previous measurements near this energy.
