Abstract
The locomotor reactions to apparent depth made by chicks and rats were measured in situations offering physical support with and without optical information for support. Chicks avoided an optical void though it provided physical support. Rats responded indifferently to the presence or absence of optical information for support as long as physical support was available. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
