Abstract
The coefficients of the free energy series expansion were determined for TGS using four terms in the expansion and an accurate solution of the equation for the spontaneous polarization viz. E = 0, where E is the electric field. The coefficients were determined using experimental values for the spontaneous polarization Ps taken from literature. The agreement between the experimental and calculated values of Ps was very good over practically all temperatures below Tc .Keywords
